The goal of a new training unit is to enhance the overall education of maintenance personnel. Theoretically acquired knowledge should be complemented and expanded through realistic, practical training sequences.

In the case of virtual engine training for Lufthansa Technical Training, the concept is built on two principles: component exploration (Component Explorer) and practical execution of maintenance tasks (Maintenance Tasks).
Solution
A new learning concept in VR
In the concept, a control station operated by a panel operator is connected to individual trainees’ training sessions in various cabins. The planned hardware and IT infrastructure, as well as the didactic development of the learning content, are inspired by the successful virtual reality training at the sister company Lufthansa Aviation Training.
