Playful simulations

A round of table tennis in the Zeiss Vision Lab?

Here in the ZEISS Vision Lab, you can experience what it’s like to play table tennis with vision impairments such as scotoma or cataracts. Choose an eye disease and take on the challenge: play a round of table tennis and feel how difficult it can be for those affected. This simulation offers you a deep insight into the daily hurdles faced by people with visual impairments.

State-of-the-art technologies

Immersive experience with impact

The innovative combination of virtual reality (VR) and eye tracking realistically simulates eye diseases. This technology precisely captures the users’ gaze direction and eye movements, adjusting the simulation in real-time. This allows visual impairments to be authentically experienced, creating a deep understanding of the daily challenges faced by people with visual impairments.

For trade shows, events, and at the point of interest

Versatile application of VR technology

ZEISS’s VR technology is flexible and easy to deploy, making it ideal for trade shows, events, and points of interest like optical shops. It’s portable, quick to set up, and perfect for changing venues. This versatility allows for reaching a wide audience and effectively presenting engagement for visual health

The simulation was incredibly realistic. It’s a great way to demonstrate the effects of eye disease to our clients and emphasize the importance of regular eye exams.
