More than 1.2 million visitors in 18 days make the “Mondial de l'Automobile” in Paris the most visited car exhibition in the world. ŠKODA commissioned becc agency GmbH and NMY for an integrated implementation of an interactive brand experience and exhibits.
At the centre of the ŠKODA marketing communication stands a world first: the new Fabia. Sporty, colourful and individual – the expressive design of the compact is just as much focus as the intelligent connection of the car with smartphone-apps. From the idea to the end of the exhibition NMY took over the encompassing realization and implementation of three interactive exhibits and installations in cooperation with becc agency. Our tasks: planning, design, software development, media production, technology, IT infrastructure and building the stand.
The smartphone-shaped exhibit brought the visitors closer to the interesting and varied opportunities ŠKODA now offers its clients through smartphone apps. The touchscreen game developed by NMY allowed each visitor to get a first impression of the apps and their functions: the player must deftly guide the new ŠKODA Fabia through the streets of Paris with the aim of collecting as many apps as possible in the given time in order to earn points as well as a place on the leaderboard. The game presents navigation, driving analysis and community sharing in an engaging way.
The ŠKODA Fabia displays an extraordinary amount of design configurations both inside and out. The ‘STYLE YOUR FABIA’ exhibit presents this message in an impressive way with a 3D design configurator. Using an original spray paint gun, the car can be designed on a 4K screen (84”) with a wide choice of colours and edgy ‘tattoos’ turning every design into something special. Just like in real life, moving the paint gun closer or further away and changing the angle affects the outcome. Once the design is finished, the visitor can send in their concept by email and hope to be chosen as one of the most creative designs to be published by ŠKODA on its official Facebook page.
Have you ever seen your own selfie displayed on the twelve square-metre LED wall of a busy exhibition stand? The ŠKODA exhibition bar is a meeting point for all visitors. For the focal point of the bar area, NMY is creating a 3m x 4m interactive communication wall, whose media display can be influenced by the visitors themselves. Through the NMY app, either with their own smartphone or by using a smartphone already installed on the bar, users can design their own individual selfie and send it in to be displayed on the LED wall. After editorial checks, the selfies will appear on the screen in an eye-catching manner, linking the colourful animated world of ŠKODA with that of the visitor – and all in real time.
