B. Braun Melsungen AG commissioned NMY to create a playable VR prototype for CODE_n 2016 in order to draw the attention of technology-loving startups to the traditional company.
For the trade fair, B. Braun Melsungen AG set itself the goal of establishing contacts with innovative health tech startups and exchanging ideas about visionary products and business models with them. With the Future OR Experience, NMY created the perfect prototype to lure young, technology-loving founders to the company’s booth.
For B. Braun Melsungen AG's booth on the CODE_n 2016 in Karlsruhe, NMY developed the Future Operation Room (OR) Experience. In the RoomScale VR application for the HTC Vive, visitors slip into the role of an up-and-coming surgeon of the future. The challenge for the players is to steer a nanobot through the body of a virtual patient in a simulated operation.
The playful VR experience offered the ideal introduction to discussions about the digitization of the health tech industry and enabled networking with digital pioneers from all over the world. A high-score display integrated in the app motivated visitors to make several tries. The experience thus created an informal atmosphere in the exhibition area and provided material for imaginative discussions between our employees and trade fair visitors.
